From Casole d’Elsa you can go on three splendid Trekking Routes which link onto the official itinerary of the via Francigena, a well-traced and marked road. The via Francigena is the old route that during Middle age connected Canterbury to Rome and to the harbors of Apulia. It has been rediscovered by modern trekkers surprised and enchanted by the beautiful views and landscape of this route. Since 2001 the European association of vie Francigene coordinates the development and promotion of an itinerary that runs across Italy and Europe, retracing the history of our continent.

It is possible to go on seven other simple itineraries, still being in the area of Casole.

They are circular itineraries touching small villages and districts (Monteguidi, Pievescola, Mensano, Querceto, etc) where you can enjoy truly unexpected landscapes and see or visit places of a certain historic and archeological importance.
